In addition, DICV is exploring small commercial vehicles (CV) weighing more than 5 tons, especially electric mini-trucks, for efficient last-mile mobility in crowded cities. The investment is dedicated to electric and hydrogen fuel cell technology, ongoing powertrain development in India and globally.

In September 2020, Mercedes-Benz hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck concept GenH2 was launched worldwide. It is reported that the maximum range of the Mercedes-Benz hydrogen fuel cell truck will be more than 1,000 kilometers, and the total mass of the production version of the vehicle will be 40 tons and the load capacity will be 25 tons.
