PEM electrolyzer system: it is an advanced patented product, whichis light, highly effective, energy-saving and of environmental protection, producing hydrogen and oxygen through the electrolysis of pure water (without adding alkali).

Hydrogen fuel cell stack: A fuel cell is a device that generates electricity through an electrochemical reaction.the stack is a number of fuel cells stacked together using bipolar plates.In a fuel cell hydrogen and oxygen are combined to produce electricity, heat and water.

Working Principle of PEM electrolyzer and Fuel Cell stack

PEMelectrolyzer sytem:

PEM electrolyzers use a Proton Exchange Membrane which use a solid polymer electrolyte. When current is applied on the cell stack, the water splits in hydrogen and oxygen and the hydrogen protons pass through the membrane to form H2 gas on the cathode side.

Hydrogen fuel cell stack:

PEM (proton exchange membrane) fuel cell stackconvert the chemical energy of hydrogen fuel directly into electricity via a solid conducting membrane sandwiched between two electrodes. The hydrogen molecule donates its electron at the anode, leaving positively charged protons. Electrons travel through the circuit and protons through the membrane to the cathode, where they form water. 

Each cell typically produces 0.6 t0 0.7V and by connecting a number of cells in series, fuel cell stacks of a desired voltage can be produced.
