2024-01-29

The Weeze plant in Germany has expanded from 11,000 square meters to 16,000 square meters for the engineering and production of hydrogen infrastructure products, as well as the production of hydrogenation and static storage systems.

With the expansion, Hexagon Purus said it has nearly doubled its annual production capacity of four bottles, which is part of Hexagon Purus' large-scale growth plan.

In January 2023, Hexagon Purus set up a production plant in Maryland, USA. In September 2023, Hexagon Purus opened a new hydrogen cylinder production site in Kassel, Germany. In December 2023, Hexagon raised approximately NOK 1 billion ($96 million) in funding from investors such as Mitsui, Hy24 and Hexagon Composites to support the company's global capacity expansion.
